Forever Alone Day and CNY

Ni Hao to all readers of my blog :)
As Valentine's Day was last Saturday and Chinese New Year is just day after tomorrow, teacher has decided to combine these to special days in February and asked us to blog about "What I Dislike About Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year." Very weird right? Most people ask about what you LIKE about certain days but this is the first time someone has asked about what I dislike. Well, we must embrace changes in life and this assignment could be actually kind of fun as it is something different to try.

So.... Valentine's Day, or in my opinion, Forever Alone Day(FAD). Why I call it FAD? I'm honestly not very sure but the name just kind of stuck with me. What I don't like about this day is probably because as the name states, I'm forever alone.

Well, at least for now.

Honestly, I don't really care if I see other people going out with their mates cause in my opinion, I'm a little too young to date, don't you agree? There's still a lot of time for me to 'hook a line' when I'm in university. What I REALLY don't like about this day is that if you have a partner, you have to waste a ton of money for them just to please them UNLESS they are someone like me who doesn't really care about Valentine's Day. When I grow up, I will pick someone who doesn't really care about Valentine's Day. In my opinion, Valentine's Day is just any normal day where you DON'T necessarily have to celebrate it with your partner.

Now, to start on my second topic, Chinese New Year!!!!!! What a nice time of the year. I mean, what's not to like about CNY? Here are some reasons on why I LOVE CNY:
1.  Ang Pau
2.  No school means no homework
3.  Wake up late
4.  Good food
5.  The hours spent on playing cards
6.  Ang Pau

But of course, not everything about CNY is good. Everyday has it's up and downs. So, these are the things that I dislike about CNY:
1.   I can't talk Chinese well, and unfortunately all my relatives are Chinese educated
2.  Putting up decorations
3.  Cleaning the house

Man, it's not very nice being a banana. Vary hard to communicate with my relatives. Luckily, I can understand some Chinese words and that can spare me some shame. For example, Chor, when I play the game Chor Dai Di. Spring cleaning is also very annoying but other than that, CNY is a very nice holiday. And another down side is for Chinese who are studying and celebrating CNY overseas. Like a friend I know. She doesn't get any school holidays during CNY which is one of the best things about Chinese New Year. Poor girl.
Guess that's all for know. And to everybody out there who is reading my post, I wish you guys a very Happy Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day. Or for those single people like me, Happy FAD.

SEPTEMBER 21

Ola! :)
Teacher gave another piece of work on Monday, which is "Something Interesting that Happened on the Day of Your Birthday (day and month only)." Teacher was even kind enough to put a link on Edmodo to ease the burden of young children such as us. So, I went and searched my birthday up which is the title of my blog posts, September 21. I found out a lot of useless stuff but there also some unique and interesting stuff if you can call it that.

1.   1949 - Chinese Communists leaders proclaim People's Republic of China
2.   1965 - Singapore admitted as part of United Nations
3.   1988 - Mike Tyson smashes TV camera outside his house
4.   1995 - Hindu milk miracle occurs, in which statues of the Hindu God Ganesh began                  drinking milk when spoonfuls were placed near their mouths
5.   1998 - Last day of the Commonwealth Games which was held in Malaysia                                (wasn't on the website but I know this myself)
And last but not least.....

6.   1937 - J. R. R. Tolkien's 'The Hobbit' is published, which soon led to a series of                        great LOTR story books.

That's all from me today. hope you guys find very intriguing things on your birthdays :)

MOOD

Well then, I know that this assignment was given ages ago but I am only doing it now.
What is mood? In dictionary.com, mood has a lot of meanings:

1.
a state or quality of feeling at a particular time:
What's the boss' mood today?
2.
a distinctive emotional quality or character:
The mood of the music was almost funereal.
3.
a prevailing emotional tone or general attitude:
the country's mood.
4.
a frame of mind disposed or receptive, as to some activity or thing:
I'm not in the mood to see a movie.
5.
a state of sullenness, gloom, or bad temper.

So what exactly is mood?
Mood in my opinion is when someone is feeling an emotion that can change his/her behavior. A person will either feel hyper or they just don't want to do anything when they are in a certain mood. For example, if you are happy you can be extremely hyper but if you are sad it will be the total opposite. This can easily be seen in girls during 'that time of the month' especially when they are angry. I would rather have my name written in the black book a few times than spend a whole day with a furious girl during her ..... But some days there just no choice. You will have to face hell on earth. And hopefully, to all the guys out there, you will be able to withstand the fiery heat of these beasts and prevail over them during that 'period' of time. Get it?
